Organics MattR began with a simple idea: people in Port Macquarie should have easier access to fresh, quality organic food.
After years of researching organic food, farming and the choices available to Australian families, founder Matt Rullis recognised something was missing locally — a reliable place where people could find fresh organic fruit and vegetables alongside the everyday products needed to support a more natural, low-tox way of living.
So, in 2014, Matt and his daughter Jemma opened Organics MattR. What began as a passion for better food has grown into a family-owned local business serving Port Macquarie and the wider Mid North Coast community.
Organics Are in the Family
There is a strong family thread running through the Organics MattR story.
Long before Matt opened the doors to his own store, his grandparents were selling fresh produce door-to-door in Liverpool, Sydney, back in the 1960s. Matt's father, Alex, helped his parents in those early days and would later become part of the Organics MattR story too.
In fact, Organics MattR had humble beginnings with just a few shelves of produce in Alex's business in Wauchope. Three generations later, that connection to food, family and community continues. It's why Family Owned. Community Grown. means more to us than a tagline. It's who we are.
Fresh, Seasonal and Organic
Fresh fruit and vegetables remain at the heart of Organics MattR. We believe eating well should be enjoyable, achievable and accessible, which is why we focus on fresh, seasonal organic produce and source locally from organic growers wherever possible.
When the produce we need isn't available locally, we look further afield to bring our customers a varied selection throughout the seasons. Our philosophy is to source good food thoughtfully, choose quality and give local families more options.

Over the years, Organics MattR has grown into much more than a place to buy fresh produce. Our range brings together products for people who want to make more considered choices about what they eat, use on their bodies and bring into their homes.
Alongside organic fruit and veg, you'll find organic groceries and wholefoods, together with low-tox cleaning products, natural and organic body products, household products and other carefully selected alternatives for everyday living.

The result is a constantly changing selection of fresh produce and an opportunity to enjoy different foods throughout the year.
